Disease Prevention Project (DPP):
I. Community Health Education
- Create health education awareness program
- Diabetes prevention education, blood sugar control, disease related complications and more
- Hypertension (High Blood Pressure) and Kidney failures awareness
- Promote cleaner environment to reduce toxic pollution and asthma
- Reducing TB transmission, and related deaths
- Promote HIV prevention and care for People Living with AIDS/HIV (PLWA)
- Distribute educational materials/resources in local languages
- Provide counseling and referrals services
- Collaboration with local agencies and Faith based organizations for widespread outreach
- Establish support centers
- Educating providers, capacity building & door to door outreach
II. Healthy Family Support Center
- Our mission is to mitigate the physical and social impact of infectious/chronic diseases through advocacy, visitation, home based care, counseling and referral services. Ensure the protection of the welfare of PLWHA/PABA through legal aid, advocacy and education by networking with relevant governmental and non governmental agencies.
- Work to reduce exposure of youth ,women and children to HIV,TB, and Asthma infection through education and community awareness outreach services.
- Screening, tests and resource centers.
- Train the trainers for support services.....
III. Advocacy for Policy Change
- Olives Resources will collaborate with other non profit organizations, business sectors to advocate for policies and legislation that will impact the environments in which people live and work will have access to public health services.
- Advocacy for policies that support healthy behaviors that reduces risk factors to diseases.
